The ACCC has recalled thousands of MY2019-2020 RAM 1500 pickup trucks |
A recall notice has been issued due to a manufacturing windshield wiper defect that may cause the windshield wiper arm head joint to strip.
The recall affects a total of 2540 vehicles sold between January 1, 2019 – May 15, 2020.
The ACCC says the windshield wiper arm will not operate correctly, leading to reduced visibility, creating a risk of an accident causing injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail and are advised to contact their local authorised RAM Truck dealer to have the repair work carried out free of charge.
RAM pickup trucks are distributed in Australia by American Special Vehicles.
