Telematics system now standard on Volvo CE machines

Volvo Construction Equipment’s new telematics system CareTrack to be offered as standard on range of machinery from CJD Equipment

CareTrack will now be available on a range on articulated haulers, wheel loaders and excavators

Australian distributor of Volvo CE machines, CJD Equipment, is now offering a 10-year CareTrack standard connectivity package on all Volvo CE  A25 to A60 model articulated haulers, L60 to L350 model wheel loaders and EC140 to EC950 model excavators delivered after January 1, 2022.

CareTrack works by transferring machine data via signal or satellite to operators’ computers and capturing machine data points to provide insight into overall fleet productivity while also identifying areas for improvement.

CJD Equipment national product engineering and training manager Lindsay Daniels says the system also gives managers the ability to monitor machines remotely.

“Volvo Construction Equipment understands the importance of maximising machine uptime while controlling maintenance costs,” Daniels says.

“CareTrack is a system designed with the customer in mind. Remotely, CareTrack facilitates tracking, monitors machine utilisation and fuel consumption, and manages maintenance costs through the unique service planning feature.”

The system boasts time and geofencing functionalities so fleet managers can better monitor productivity and availability of their fleet, as well as overseeing machine location in the event of transport restrictions such as tunnels, restricted access, and weight and height restrictions.

Other features of CareTrack include an optional anti-theft active tracking system and an onboard weight system, which monitors payload weight to load software.
