First-time exhibitor Belaz’s stand was a sight to behold at the Asia Pacific International Mining Expo held last month.
Boasting a scale model of its actual 360 tonne flagship haul truck, the mining truck business from Belarus successfully piqued the interest of a fair amount of visitors, according to the brand’s Australian distributor Australasian Pacific Engineering Group (APEG) director Shane Halliwell.
In fact, the attention and enquiries have started pouring in the moment Belaz entered the Australian market in February 2013.
In September, Belaz will celebrate another milestone: its 65th year in manufacturing by launching its largest truck yet – the 450 tonne payload truck in Belarus.
Halliwell claims the mining truck will be “the largest ever built in the world”.
