Astec expands product offering

Astec will showcase a suite of new products for asphalt processing, road building and aggregate screening at World of Asphalt 2024

To be held  in Nashville, Tennessee, this March, the event will allow attendees to have an exclusive look at new products offered by Astec Industries.

“We are excited to be a part of the World of Asphalt event, where we will showcase our latest technologies and demonstrate how Astec continues to lead the way in providing solutions for the rock to road industries,” Astec IPS group president Ben Snyman says.

Among these technologies are two new sustainability-focused systems for asphalt processing:

  • The IntelliPac Moisture System: providing operators with real-time insights into aggregate moisture, allowing for accurate adjustments that can result in cost-savings; and
  • The ReMix cold central plant recycling system: offering a sustainable solution for efficiently utilising reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) stockpiles.

In addition to this, two new features added to Astec’s Roadtec equipment will be on display for road building professionals.

The new operator environmental awareness system for the RX-405 cold planer provides operators with a bird’s eye view of their machine in real-time, Astec says.

In addition, SmartEdge screed automation technology promises precise joint matching on the RP-195 paver, Astec says.

Representing its crushing equipment, Astec will also present its new 6203 horizontal screen.

The company promises this new screen will revolutionise the industry, as it offers increased performance, reduced operating costs and doesn’t need an external power source.

“Opportunities like World of Asphalt are so important for connecting with our customers and giving them an up-close view of all the ways we are optimising our rock to road solutions for them,” Astec MS group president Michael Norris says.

“We’re eager to understand our customers’ challenges and provide customised insights to enhance their operations.”
