Bomag’s myCockpit offers roller operators a choice of operation methods
German road building and compaction machinery manufacturer Bomag has announced that its myCockpit operator area has won a 2023 German Design Award.
The expert jury selected Bomag as the winner in the categories ‘Excellent Product Design’ and ‘Human Machine Interface’.
myCockpit offers a choice of three operating methods – using the touchscreen, a rotary pushbutton switch or a classic joystick.
Bomag says that operators require no retraining for the latest tandem rollers and can familiarise themselves with the extended digital operating options directly on the job, creating default settings personalised to each individual.
Bomag will be exhibiting over 40 machines at the upcoming ConExpo exhibition in Las Vegas, with a focus on the new BW 100 AD e-5 electric tandem-drum roller and the autonomous Robomag 2 roller.
