After throwing a bit of dirt around, digging a few holes and climbing up and down some hills at the Hastings Deering test area near Brisbane, Evarn declares the Cat 305E2 “nice to operate … smooth and stable”.
Among the features he likes are Cat’s positioning of the auxiliary controls on the joysticks — eliminating the need for foot pedals — plus the new COMPASS control panel and passcode-activated security system.
