A new chair of Construction Skills Queensland will be complimented by two new board directors to oversee the training body
Key industry body Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) will be receiving extra experience to its board, with chair Sue-Ann Fresneda set to be joined by two new board directors, Kate Raymond and Adrian Gabriell.
The independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supports employers, workers, apprentices and trainees in the building and construction industry.
New board directors will join industry and employee representatives to oversee the training body, as the state government continues to tackle the skills shortage, cut red tape and make housing more affordable.

“To ensure we have a world-class workforce ready to build the infrastructure Queensland needs, we need real experience and vision at the top, and that’s exactly what we see in this new Construction Skills Queensland board,” minister for finance, trade, employment and training Ros Bates says.
“We’re focusing on building a skills pipeline to help keep up with the housing construction demand.”
Current CSQ directors Damian Long, Penny Cornah, Rohan Webb and Marina Chambers will support the incoming board members.
