Nordmann’s T-750 and K-750 hybrid jaw crushers are the optimal choice for smaller-scale crushing
Crusher Screen Sales & Hire (CSSH) is offering a hybrid diesel/electric crushing option to the Australian market with two Nordmann models from Northern Ireland.
The T-750 tracked jaw crusher and K-750 hook lift crusher provide heavy-duty crushing power to operators looking for more sustainable options.
“There’s been a move in the industry to move more towards hybrid diesel electric machines, because they produce a smaller carbon footprint and reduce fuel consumption,” CSSH manager John Andersen says.
He adds that the quieter operational noise and compact design makes these two models particularly suited for urban construction where confined work sites and noise restrictions can hinder larger machinery.
“There are not a lot of options in this size range, so Nordmann have identified these machines as an essential for inner-city work,” he says.
Both the K-750 and T-750 are single toggle compact crushers with a diesel generator and are used to crush 0-450mm rock, concrete and brick at throughput of 40–100 tonnes per hour.
A Hardox-lined feed hopper sits above a vibrating feeder that moves the feed material over a grizzly to remove fines before the material enters the crusher. A level sensor above the crusher regulates the feeder for an optimal feed rate and the crusher inlet chute matches the dimensions of the crusher opening to prevent snagging of material.
To further prevent blockages, the swing jaw can be rotated in reverse to better process sticky or pliable contaminants in the feed and a jog function can assist in moving material through the crusher.

When crushing demolition or waste concrete material that may contain rebar, a deflector plate can be installed at the base of the swing jaw to prevent spearing of the discharge belt. There is also 400mm of clearance underneath the jaw to the discharge conveyor for the easy transfer of crushed material.
Impact bars in the drop zone further protect the belt and an optional magnet can be installed to discharge ferrous debris to either side of the conveyor.
Weighing in at 14 tonnes, the K-750 can be transported in a 12m-high shipping container and can be operating within five minutes of unloading, says Nordmann.
The T-750 meanwhile weighs in at 18 tonnes and is housed on tracks – offering a greater level of flexibility with positioning and movement around a site.
The T-750 also comes with the option of a 6’x4’ (1.8m x 1.2m) single-deck attached screen box that can produce two finished products – such as a road base and drainage rock.
“The T-750 and K-750 are perfect jaw crushers for use in small quarries and recycling concrete and bricks,” Andersen says.
“These Nordmann crushers are particularly effective on small construction sites where material can be crushed and reused on site – reducing transport and dumping costs.”
