CONEXPO 2014 gains momentum

International construction trade show CONEXPO-CON/AGG is set to return this March to Las Vegas with record registration numbers, larger than ever exhibit space and an all new innovation awards program.

The triennial event will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre from March 4-8 and will run in conjunction with the International Exposition for Power Transmission (IFPE).

According to the organisers, the expo recorded its best week of registration earlier this month and advance registration is already tracking ahead of 2011’s event.

The expo is also breaking records with its exhibit space with CONEXPO-CON/AGG taking up more than 2.3 million net square feet both indoors and outdoors while IFPE will take up 160,000 net square feet.

New education sessions on the latest industry issues are also on the cards, alongside a comprehensive line-up of focused learning and certification opportunities.

Another new addition to this year’s show is a brand new “innovations” awards program to honour equipment innovaton and product engineering.

The awards aim to spotlight the achievements of show exhibitors in the areas of earthmoving, lifting, roadbuilding, compaction and concrete.

Industry professionals can vote online to help determine the winners which will be announced at special ceremonies during the 2014 show.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show Director Megan Tanel says the expo wants to acknowledge “the best of the best” from customers’ point of view.

“The awards are an excellent fit with the show; our exhibitors unveil their product breakthroughs at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, and attendees know the show is where they’ll find what they need to work smarter,” she says.

Each product category included four machines that a panel of editors from Awards Sponsor Diesel Programs Magazine selected as “some of the most interesting examples of machine engineering.”

Organisers promise the show to be a truly eye-opening experience with opportunities to see and feel the latest innovations in the global earthmoving industry as well as the chance to connect with industry experts for further insights into the field.

Interested individuals are urged to register online pre-show to avoid on-site queues.
