Occupying a total of 300,000 square metres of exhibition space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the 2014 Bauma China fair will again be the largest event for construction machinery, building material machines, construction vehicles and equipment in Asia.
The last event in 2012 broke all records, with 2,718 exhibitors from 38 countries and 177,080 visitors from 141 countries, and this year’s show looks to be even better.
“More than 2,800 companies from 38 countries have signed up to exhibit this year,” says Collin Davis, Exhibition Group Director at the expo organiser Messe München. “Also, we are again seeing a high level of interest from international participants.”
The top five exhibiting countries, after China, are Germany, the United States, Italy, Korea and Japan. The industry sectors they represent range from road construction equipment, earthmoving machines and lifting appliances to plant equipment, communication/navigation and the handling of raw materials.
