Said to be the world’s largest trade fair with regard to space, Bauma 2016 is taking place in Munich for the 31st time from April 11 to 17, 2016, and attracting the movers and shakers in the construction, heavy machinery and mining industries.
When the show was last held, in 2013, there were 3,421 exhibitors from 57 countries crammed into 575,000 square metres of exhibition space. This year Bauma has expanded to 605,000 square metres but is already booked to capacity.
For the first time, however, companies on the waiting list can participate without stand space, being listed in the online exhibitor directory and having access to a special lounge where they can hold meetings.
Well over 500,000 visitors are expected to attend this year.
