Event: International Mining and Resources Conference
The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) is taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7 to 10 November 2016.
The event is Australia’s largest mining conference and also includes Mines and Money Australia, the nation’s largest mining investment forum. The expo is expected to attract over 2,500 mining leaders, policy makers, technical experts, innovators and educators.
Over 50 exhibitors will have products on display on the show floor, showcasing the latest in mining technology including machinery, safety equipment, automated solutions and more.
The conference aspect of IMARC features over 200 speakers covering key conference streams of mining investment, technological advancements in mining, health & safety, international mining and the future of mining. Key speakers include World Economic Forum head of mining Gillian Davidson, Rio Tinto exploration director Gerard Rheinberger and Fortescue Metals CEO Nev Power.
The four-day event also provides many networking opportunities for industry players. The official IMARC phone app allows attendees to connect with each other and arrange meetings ahead of the event.
The show floor will also feature the ‘junior mining hub’, allowing face-to face access to the senior executives of junior mining companies, which in turn is an opportunity for projects to present themselves to the industry at a lower price point.
The event closes with the IMARC Gala Dinner at The Glasshouse and a networking drinks event at the conclusion of the final day.
