Event: MINExpo International 2016

Global mining’s movers and shakers are set to hit the bright lights of Las Vegas from 26-28 September at MINExpo International 2016, an event that claims to be the largest of its kind in the world.

Held just once every four years at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, the expo is spread out across twelve indoor and outdoor exhibition halls and will feature more than 1800 exhibitors demonstrating the latest in mining advancements.

The event is sponsored by the US National Mining Association and is focused on new products and services in the industry.

Organisers say the event covers all aspects of mining including exploration, mine site development, open pit mining, underground mining, smelting, refining, processing and reclamation.

More than 20 educational sessions will also be on offer across the three days, covering the latest in mine safety, automation, processing, materials handling and more.

In addition to the extensive exhibition, MINExpo is also putting on a number of tours and special events in and around Las Vegas such as a trip to the nearby Hoover Dam and laps of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in a race car.
