Rhino is well known for its diverse range of superior strength trailers and low loaders – all of which will be on show at the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show

RHINO TRAILERS AND LOW LOADERS is an Australian-owned and operated truck trailer manufacturer based in Toowoomba, Queensland, with a long-standing reputation for quality custom-built trailers.

Its trailers are well known for their superior strength, reinforcing the company’s motto ‘Strength in Design’.

Rhino’s extensive tipper range includes high-tensile, light-weight steel and aluminium trailers, including hybrid models. These are available in high-volume single, B-double, road-train and PBS configurations.

Its drop-bed bulk tubs, made in alloy and high-tensile light-weight steel, work well in the recycling industries.

Its range of Rhino (formally Lusty) low loaders covers deck wideners and full wideners on rows of four tyres as well as widening rows of eight low loaders with the accompanying rows of four and rows of eight dollies.

Rhino also has a good range of stock crates designed and developed for the harsh Queensland outback.

The company also manufactures two rows of four, and three rows of four, road-train dollies for tipper combinations, skel trailers and stock crate road-train combinations; as well as two rows of four and three rows of four tag trailers for plant and equipment.

Rhino has built many special-purpose transporters for specific tasks.

Its design and production processes were bolstered with the February 2001 purchase of AFM-O’Phee Trailers by parent company, The Davey Group; and the 2007 acquisition of the Lusty Low Loader business.

The company offers a maintenance, repair, sandblast and paint facility on site to support its manufacturing facility and provide a one-stop outlet for all trailer requirements.

Rhino says widespread drought has provided an opportunity to refine and review existing designs and manufacturing methods as it continues to strive for "continual improvement".

"We have and continue to employ highly-skilled tradespeople and design engineers to ensure that the quality of the trailers are always at the forefront and never compromised," it says.

"The diversity of the Rhino Range, including low loaders, stock crates and tippers in aluminium and steel, is allowing us to service our existing and new clients depending on their ever-changing requirements and growth in this exciting industry.

"Celebrating 47 years of family and Australian owned service to the road transport industry is something we are very proud of and whilst the dry conditions are proving to be quite challenging at present, the industry is one of the most exciting we are proud to be involved in."

The Davey Group employs well in excess of 100 people in Toowoomba and takes an enormous amount of pride in everything it does. The resources and capabilities of the group go beyond road transport to encompass mining, infrastructure, agriculture and forestry.

If you have something to move and are unsure of how to do it, drop by Stand 121 on the Foyer Level of the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show.

"We understand the requirement of the transport industry and how hard it is to maintain a competitive edge, come and talk to us at the Brisbane Truck Show, let us help you get the advantage over your competitors," the company says.

The 2019 Brisbane Truck Show will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Thursday, May 16 to Sunday, May 19, 2019. To secure your ticket – and go into the draw to win a Toyota HiLux Rugged X – click here!
