JAC arrives in Australia at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show, with an eye to the future and not the past

The arrival of JAC in Australia, via highly-experienced bus importer-distributor BLK Auto, promises a totally zero emission future for JAC trucks, with a focus on an efficient, cost-effective electric trucks in the light-duty sector.

JAC’s N55 EV electric truck will be on display at the Brisbane Truck Show, showing the deep well of expertise JAC can draw on as it sets a path to a zero-emission future.

JAC has been producing battery-electric trucks in China since 2014, with years of research and development prior to that. The current range of electric trucks has been on sale in China since 2017, satisfying the drive to zero-emission vehicles in the world’s most populous nation.

JAC’s range of electric truck platforms operates across the globe, ranging from 2.5 to 12 tonnes, offering flexible weight and wheelbase options to suit particular tasks on the same vehicle frame.

The latest wave of JAC trucks feature a modern 1,995mm-wide cabin with comfortable seating space and an ergonomic dash with a multifunctional steering wheel and an eight-inch (20cm) infotainment touchscreen.

N55EV is a fully-proven electric  light truck with the latest EV technology, providing a safe, reliable, comfortable, economic and, above all, a clean emission-free truck for a range of city operations.

BLK Auto managing director Jason Pecotic says the future of road transport is electric and, rather than dwell in the past, JAC is very much thinking to the future needs of a transport industry that is already demanding electric vehicles for city-based operations. "The new JAC N55 EV N55EV boasts either fast or standard charging, a 200km range and a 50 per cent lower fuel cost, as well as a 30 per cent lower maintenance cost, compared with conventional engine diesel trucks," Pecotic says.

BLK Auto’s experience as a specialist bus importer ensures the service and parts backup to deliver customer confidence in Australia.
