A 2017 Caterpillar excavator will be up for grabs at a charity auction, to be held from 10-15 May, at the Civil Construction Field Days in Brisbane
Auction company Pickles is joining forces with Hastings Deering Cat to help raise funds for Queensland’s Children’s Hospital Foundation with an excavator auction to be held next week.
Up for grabs is a 2017 Caterpillar 311FL RR Excavator with less than 1,300 hours under its belt.
Pickles says the well-maintained reduced-radius excavator boasts a 71-horsepower engine and up to 14 per cent less fuel consumption than other machines on the market.
On top of this, the winning bidder will also get a free powertrain and hydraulics warranty for 12 months or 1500 hours EPP (whichever comes first) and 24 months’ use of the HD Advantage after sales service program, thanks to Hastings Deering Cat.
That said, this portion of the deal only applies to non-dealer buyers in Queensland and the Northern Territory who have registered the excavator with Hastings Deering Cat.
All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Children’s Hospital Foundation, which supports sick children and their families all over Australia.

The auction will be held from 10-15 May, with the excavator to be on display at the Civil Construction Field Day in Hamilton Northshore, Brisbane, from 13-15 May.

The winning bidder will be announced at CCF Field Days at the close of auction on Saturday 15 at 12.30pm AEST.
