Excavator Parts is the whole package

It takes many parts to make a whole, and the team at Wauchope-based Excavator Parts knows that better than most

Wauchope-based Excavator Parts

The team at Excavator Parts has been serving customers from their headquarters on New South Wales’ mid-north coast for more than 10 years.

Today, the business services much of the surrounding area from its base in Wauchope, 20 kilometres inland from Port Macquarie, as well as exporting its range of used excavator parts around the world.

However, throughout its formative years Excavator Parts was a much smaller operation, with four pallets of stock sold out of the back of the family home.

As interest grew, so did the business, and, eventually, director Peter Jilg moved the business to a small shed in Port Macquarie before relocating once again to its current address on Production Drive in Wauchope’s construction precinct.

Outside of the day-to-day operations of the business, Excavator Parts enjoys a strong link with the community on the mid-north coast.

Excavator Parts is a major sponsor of the ComeUp Xtreme Winch Challenge Series as well as being involved with the local Oztag competition in Port Macquarie and the Annual Suck it Up Buttercup Race.

And while the business itself has grown, so too has the involvement of the Jilg family.

All three of Peter’s children, Lana, Rebeka and Jayden, have been involved in the business at some stage, with Rebeka and Jayden, who completed an apprenticeship to become a fully qualified diesel mechanic, still working there.

Excavator Parts supplies an extensive range of new and used excavator parts including seal kits and undercarriages to customers across Australia and worldwide.

In doing so, the team dismantles excavators ranging in size from one to 50 tonnes from a wide range of popular brands including Case, Komatsu, Cat, Doosan, Sumitomo and Hitachi, to name a few.

The Excavator Parts team specialises in the rebuilding of the main hydraulic pump and final drives. It says it guarantees the quality of its spare parts and the knowledge and experience of its technicians and sales representatives, with rebuilt parts sold with a three-month warranty.

A list of the excavators that are currently being dismantled is available on the Excavator Parts website and advertised on the company’s social media channels on Instagram and Facebook. These are updated weekly online and monthly on social media.
