FAE develops app for skid steer mulchers

Operators can check calibration and monitor its FAE forestry mulchers on skid steers using its Sonic connectivity system using the new app

FAE has hinted at plans to expand the app’s capabilities to include excavator Sonic head

FAE has unveiled a new smart phone app for customers to improve the performance of the forestry mulchers for skid steers that use its Sonic connectivity system.

Exclusive to FAE, the Sonic system works by regulating torque in real-time based on the effort required to always work at maximum capacity.

The Sonic system also automatically calibrates the mulcher’s hydraulic parameters for instant and precise skid steer pairing, which can be displayed via the new FAE app.

Operators can use the app check if the Sonic system is calibrated to get its best performance every time it deploys, while also being able to monitor the mulcher in real-time to resolve any issues.

FAE has also hinted at plans to expand the app’s capabilities to include excavator Sonic heads as well. To access and use the app, operators must download the FAE App from the Apple app store and connect it to the head’s Wi-Fi.

The FAE app is currently available on iOS devices, and there are plans for it to be made available on the Google Play store in the future
