Equipment focus: Remu 4150HD screening bucket
The need to process more material more quickly and to shred topsoil components recently led Blue Dog Earthmoving and Landscape Supplies to buy a Remu 4150HD screening bucket from east coast Remu dealer PRM.
It’s a move that has paid off, with the Nambucca Shire earthmoving services and landscaping materials provider saying the versatile Finnish product is giving them more than six times the volume of their previous screening bucket.
Blue Dog has access to a range of materials ranging from mulch to soil and organic materials that need to be screened and blended in order to produce a saleable product.
The company had previously used a standard bucket and a small screening bucket to mix materials for use in the supply of landscape materials, but this didn’t allow them to effectively screen and shred the material used in topsoil blends.
The Remu 4150HD’s patented spiral topsoil blades allows Blue Dog to blend, screen and shred a wider range of materials and also incorporate materials into their final products, which would previously not have been possible due to the material’s size and composition.
Blue Dog owner Kevin Gaddes says the team is thrilled with the new bucket as they can now produce custom topsoil and mulch blends from material that was previously unsaleable in its raw form.
Remu makes a wide range of screening buckets which can be attached to almost any type of excavator, backhoe, wheel-loader, skid-steer or tractor.
Premier Rock Machinery is the Remu dealer for the East coast of Australia and New Zealand, with most buckets held in stock in Australia.
