Ever wondered what it takes to transport one of the world’s largest mining excavators? This video uploaded by Komatsu Australia shows the transport of PC7000 excavator from Komatsu Mining in Dusseldorf, Germany to the Leigh Creek Coalfields in South Australia.
Suffice to say its not as simple as just putting it on the back of a truck and sending it on its way. The behemoth needs to be transported in (very big) pieces, involving a co-ordinated effort from the entire supply chain.
