MV Hire is based in Moss Vale, in NSW’s southern highlands region and has been in operation since 2000. The group specialises in hire equipment for renovators, landscapers, builders and construction.

Recently however, MV Hire has been fielding more and more requests from wedding organisers looking for portable generators for their events. The NSW southern highlands’ picturesque surrounds make it a popular wedding destination.

To meet this demand, MV acquired an Atlas Copco QES 30 30kVA portable generator from supplier Redstar Equipment.

“Our customers were looking for a reliable source of power for their weddings so we saw the need to buy an Atlas Copco portable generator,” MV Hire general manager Angus Reynolds says.

“The southern highlands are a popular wedding destination and we needed to make sure that we could supply our customers with a predictable source of power.”

The QES 30 generator uses around 6.9L/h of fuel powering the Kubota diesel engine and 30kVA Mecc Alte alternator.

“We had piece of mind knowing that the generator had a spillage free frame and a 500 hour service interval,” Reynolds says.

Most of MV’s demand for the QES 30 generator has been for private functions, but the generator also makes a solid addition to construction sites.

“It’s the practical predictable power choice, even for the most demanding work sites,” Redstar Equipment account manager Rohinal Narayan says.

“Options such as manual oil drain pump, connection to an external fuel tank, site or road trailers, can be added to fully match construction site needs,” Narayan adds.

The QES range of portable generators is easy to use and straightforward to maintain. These generators were specifically developed from the construction and rental industries.
