The diesel-hydraulic Keestrack 1313S (R6) impact crusher and screening unit’s mobility and throughput of 300 tonnes/hour have proved to be game-changers for a Belgian recycling company.

Headquartered in Ingelmunster, a town close to the city of Kortrijk and the French border, the Bel-gian Monseré group is involved in earthworking, demolition work and the recycling of building materials, demolition waste and organic matter.

The company’s recycling department, Movarec, is responsible for the mobile recycling of con-struction and demolition waste on Monseré construction sites and customer projects.

The recycling company also operates a breaking yard for building rubble, class A and B timber and green waste in Veurne in the province of West Flanders, not far from the coast.

The company has a workforce of six, who together process up to 600,000 tonnes of building waste each year. The breaking yard occupies almost 1ha of land and produces around 70,000 tonnes of high-grade recycling granulate.

At the end of 2016, Movarec replaced its 70-tonne impact crusher unit with a diesel-hydraulic version of the Keestrack R6 (1313S).

Fully equipped, the machine comprises of a dual-deck pre-screener and a double-deck post-screen module with a 1300-series crusher (which has an inlet size of 1300 x 970mm and a rotor weight of 6.1 tonnes).

Despite this, the unit barely weighs more than 61 tonnes and, unlike its predecessor at Movarec, can be transported on a low-loader without having to disassemble the after-screen module.

Movarec says this has significantly improved mobility, shortened downtime and guaranteed the profitability of the large crusher, which has a capacity of 300 tonnes per hour, even in the case of medium-sized process volumes.
