Video: Giant Komatsu D575A dozer ripping like a boss

The world’s biggest dozer is the 154-tonne, 1,150-horsepower (860kW) Komatsu D575A, and in this SoCalEarthMovers video you can see this beast ripping like a boss.

That ripper, which must be about 3.5m long, cuts through the ground like a knife through butter, but what really stirs the soul is the roar of the Superdozer’s diesel powerhouse — a 12-cylinder, four-stroke, water-cooled, direct injected, turbocharged, intercooled Komatsu SA12V170E.

Komatsu says a significant proportion of the D575As manufactured have been sold to mines and contract miners in Australia, with others going to US coal mines.
