Hastings Deering customer wins new Cat mini excavator

A lucky Hastings Deering customer has won a new Cat mini excavator through a competition designed to reward the business’ loyal customers

Hastings Deering customer Alzino & Co Earthmoving has come home with a brand-new Caterpillar (Cat) 301.5 mini excavator, as part of a competition for the dealer’s valued customers.

Designed to reward a Hastings Deering customer, the promotion was the dealer’s first ever giveaway of a machine, requiring participants to purchase $2,000 worth of undercarriage parts to qualify for entry into the draw.

The addition of the Cat 301.5 mini excavator marks a significant milestone for Alzino & Co, being the 50th Cat machine in its fleet.

Alzino & Co workshop manager Irfan Galina says the business was shocked to end up winning the highly valued prize.

“This is the largest prize we’ve ever won, it was a brilliant competition,” he says.

“Our experience with purchasing from Hastings Deering has always been very good, the parts interpreters are very thorough and provide expert knowledge, which makes finding what we require easy and stress-free.”

History

Alzino & Co has been using Caterpillar machinery since 1980, when its owner Ernie Alzino purchased his first piece of equipment – a D7G Dozer.

With the competition requiring customers to purchase undercarriage parts, Hastings Deering large track type tractors product manager Scott Pattemore highlights the importance of investing in high quality undercarriage systems.

“Undercarriage components account for roughly 50 per cent of a machine’s total ownership and operating costs,” he says.

“When customers choose Cat undercarriage, they can rest assured they are investing in a premium-quality product backed by the extensive Hastings Deering network across Queensland and the Northern Territory.”
