Lighting specialist Hella is well-known worldwide as a super manufacturer of lighting equipment and electronic components and systems for the global automotive industry.
The company is over 100 years old and was established in Germany but it didn’t arrive in Australia until the early 1960s.
On top of servicing the mainstream vehicle and marine industries, the company jumped onto the mining business more than ten years ago and has been servicing the sector since.
At the 2013 Asia Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) held in Sydney, the company launched its new HypaLUME, a LED floodlight designed, developed and manufactured in Australia especially for the mining industry.
Also taking the spotlight at the stand was a lighting tower designed and manufactured by Perth based construction equipment business AllLight Sykes, which Hella partnered up with to create effective and energy efficient lighting solutions for the mining sector.
Watch the video as Hella Australia Mining Division General Manager Stuart Ellacott talks us through the innovative new products and where the business is heading.
