Industry gears up for big Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo

Following a hugely successful inaugural show in 2016, 200 exhibitors have signed up for the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo to be held in Penrith, NSW, from 21-23 April.

The show brings together buyers and sellers of earthmoving machinery, earthmoving attachments, agricultural machinery, mowing equipment, trucks, boats, bikes and more.

While the 2016 expo was a huge success, organisers say that this year they have further improved the layout for improved exhibitor visibility and better visitor flow, and have also upgraded the catering facilities.

“With the industry owning, managing and operating its own event, it’s a great platform where we can add value to the knowledge base of solutions options for business owners, contractors and equipment users,” Expo CEO Steve Zivkovich says.

“Most of Australia’s earthmoving equipment manufacturers, importers and distributors are represented on the board of directors or play a key role in management committees or otherwise contribute to the running of this major event.

“Better informed customers make it easier for suppliers to understand customer needs and be able to offer the most appropriate equipment solutions,” he adds.

“The average contractor may find it a challenge to keep up with rapidly evolving machine technologies. Successful businesses need to continually assess what is the most efficient and appropriate equipment for their business.”

As before, there will be an Operators’ Challenge with up to $21,000 in prize money for anyone who wants to demonstrate their skill at operating an excavator or compact loader and take home a trophy.

On the entertainment side there will be performances by the Freestyle Kings stunt riders, music by Ebony & Ivory, children’s rides, face painting, an interactive display of ‘Little Big Rigs’ and a vintage truck display.
