Auger Torque waved Australian flag at Bauma 2012
Brisbane-based auger attachment business Auger Torque was one of the few Australian companies to exhibit at Bauma 2012 held in Shanghai, China in late November 2012.
Bauma 2012 set a new record for both visitors and exhibitors at the show held in Shanghai, China, from November 27-30, 2012.
The show hosted more than 2,700 exhibitors from 38 countries and in excess of 180,000 visitors from 141 countries, spread over more than 300,000 square metres of earthmoving heaven.
Everything at the show was bigger and better this time around - from the size of the machines on display, to the quality of product by all the large OEMs and manufacturers.
One of a few Australian companies to exhibit at the show was Brisbane-based Auger Torque, which also made it its business to pull out all the stops.
Auger Torque Director and Global Operations Manager Mark Rayner says the company was "completely blown away by the amount and quality of enquiries not only from individuals, but also attachment specialists and manufacturers wanting to sell our product in their local market".
"It's great to be able to showcase our full line-up to long-standing, as well as new, customers, from so many countries," he says.
The next Bauma will be held from April 15-21, 2013 in Munich, Germany in which Auger Torque will also be a part of.
This will be Auger Torque's fifth Bauma Munich show and once again it expects to have the largest stand of an Australian-owned company and will be flying the Australian flag with pride.
