Cat launches parts website

Caterpillar has recently launched a new ecommerce website, parts.cat.com that allows customers in Australia to buy genuine Cat parts online from the brand’s authorised dealers.

Australia is the first market in Asia Pacific to launch the website.

The online parts catalogue includes batteries, fitters, machine engine rebuild kits, lights, hand tools, hardware and O-rings among others; which are subject to individual dealer availability.

Cat says the list of parts available on the website will expand rapidly over the coming months.

Other information available on the website include cross-referencing equipment, informational videos and specifications on Cat original, classic and remanufactured parts.

Upon checkout on the website, customers are connected to the Cat dealer PartStore system in which customers can access the Caterpillar Service Information System for additional technical information and Cat parts books.

To complete the transaction, customers can select either pick-up or delivery from the nominated Cat dealer branch and can arrange payment with credit card.

Caterpillar Asia Pacific Regional Manager Jeremy Canham says the company understands the importance of adapting to customers’ changing business needs.

“Our online presence through the ecommerce website, parts.cat.com, delivers greater ease and convenience for customers to purchase parts from Cat dealers anywhere in Australia,” he says.

“Australia is the first market in Asia-Pacific to launch parts.cat.com, which augments the customer support presently available via Cat dealers including prompt parts delivery and the spread of more than 6,000 dealer technicians across the country.”
