Makinex cracks US market

Australian power equipment company Makinex has announced its venture into the North American market with its focus set on the rental and flooring industries.

The announcement was made at the American Rental Association (ARA) Rental show in Orlando, Florida in February this year where Makinex and 875 other exhibitors displayed their wares.

Makinex says the show was a fantastic platform for the company to launch into the US market as  thousands of delegates from across the country attended the show, making it a good opportunity for Makinex to network and source distributors.

Makinex Director Rory Kennard says it was an exciting time for the company to penetrate the global market.

“Revneue growth for the equipment rental industry continues to be on the rise and we want to be a part of that,” he says.

Despite the shifting economies in American industries, Makinex says rental market conditions are buoyant and will in fact improve in 2014 when the industry is projected to grow 8 per cent to $41 billion.

Some products Makinex will be introducing to the American public include its mixing stations, jackhammer trolleys, powered hand trucks and dual pressure washers that the company promises to offer increased productivity, reduced physical effort and improved safety.

“Our products are unique and differentiated, allowing customers to do their jobs faster, safer and easier,” Kennard says.

“They are an asset to any rental fleet, promising a high utilisation rate and maximum ROI. Any operator is at a significant advantage when using our products, and we are confident about that.”
