Komatsu mining customers can soon look forward to the supply of genuine Komatsu hose assemblies by Pirtek Fluid Systems.

Komatsu and Pirtek's hose assembly agreement now covers Komatsu's mining equipment.

From May 2014, Komatsu will be able to offer genuine hose assemblies from Pirtek for Komatsu’s PC3000 and PC4000 mining excavators; while the PC5500 and PC8000 will be covered in the latter half of the year.

Earlier this year, Komatsu and Pirtek expanded their 10-year agreement signed in May 2010 to cover 14 specialised hose assembly facilities, more than 100 Pirtek service centres and 320 mobile service units across both Australia and New Zealand.

This means Komatsu customers have access to all these centres for their hose assembly needs.

Komatsu Australia’s National OEM Product Manager Stuart Moffitt says the development will ensure Komatsu’s mining customers have access to higher levels of service and support, along with significantly shorter response times that can be offered through Pirtek’s 24/7 mobile service networks.

"In addition, we will be expanding our genuine hose assembly capability with Pirtek into Komatsu’s dump truck range of machines, as well as into Pirtek New Zealand as part of our longer-term plans during 2014 and 2015," he says.

"As a result, Komatsu’s New Zealand customers will shortly start seeing the benefits of this landmark partnership."
