Digga wins Gold Coast business award

Machinery attachment manufacturer Digga Australia has won the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards’ September manufacturing and construction award.

Digga now goes into the running to win Gold Coast Business of the Year, an award the company has won twice previously in 2003 and 2009.

“We are honoured by this recognition, and fiercely proud to be a Gold Coast manufacturing business supplying products around the world,” says Digga CEO Suzie Wright, who was born and raised on the Gold Coast.

“It has been an exciting year of innovation and growth for Digga globally and this award is testament to the outstanding team of people — the ‘Diggaholics’ — who make our goals reality.”

In a statement, Digga says it is Australia’s largest manufacturer of machinery attachments for earthmoving machinery, making a range of over 70 different products for drilling, trenching, sweeping, forestry and the like. The products are sold in over 60 countries through 450 dealers and distributors.

“Digga (is) the global leader in planetary gearbox design and manufacturing,” the company adds, “producing gearboxes that are used in industries from earthmoving to mining and recycling.”

While its head office and 12,500-square-metre main factory are based on the Gold Coast, the company operates five facilities around the world, employing over 200 staff.
