Queensland trailer manufacturers join forces

Drake Trailers expands product range through O’Phee Trailer acquisition

Haulage specialist Drake Trailers Australia has acquired fellow trailer manufacturer O’Phee Trailers in a move to expand and strengthen its product range.

The two long-serving Queensland companies have formalised their existing close ties, Drake Trailers  general manager Khali Lake says, boosting the trailer range available to customers.

“The synergies between both companies have always been undeniably strong and complimentary, and the bringing together of these great manufacturers will provide customers of both O’Phee and Drake access to a diverse range of transport solutions,” Lake says.

O’Phee Trailers and its staff will continue to operate out of its manufacturing plant in Brisbane’s Rocklea, he says, where Drake Trailers was founded.

“Mick and Sharon O’Phee will continue to operate the O’Phee Trailers business at their current location with their highly skilled and experienced staff,” Lake says.

O’Phee Trailers has specialised in semi trailers for over 40 years, while Drake Trailers has been operating since 1958, producing widening and fixed heavy haulage and low loaders trailers.
