Bridgestone has consolidated two of its Australian business into one, creating Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia.

The new group is an amalgamation of Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres and Bridgestone Engineered Products of Asia, Australia branch.

As the name suggests, Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres was focused on heavy duty off-road tyres and wheels for trucks and other machinery, whereas Bridgestone Engineered Products made bespoke rubber products for industrial products such as conveyor belts and industrial hoses.

Bridgestone says combining the products and skillsets of the two groups will provide the Australian mining, industrial and construction industries with a complete ‘pit-to-port’ solution.

“Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia will strengthen our leading position in the market in both product and service solutions,” Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres CEO Steve Niho says.

“The new business structure will enable greater focus on specific functions of the business to enhance value creation for our customers, making us their indispensable partner.

“The name Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia reflects our Solutions Driven focus and commitment to the mining, industrial and construction industries and realises our strategy of aligning regional company strategies with global Bridgestone Corporation,” Niho adds.

The integration will see the new group supplying sales and services that cover nearly all permutations of industrial rubber applications.

“Over the years, BSEM and BSEA AU have consistently collaborated to provide a comprehensive offering to their customers,” Niho says.

“Senior management of both BSEM and BSEA AU are confident the integration will result in a win-win for the two Bridgestone businesses and, most importantly, for their valued customers.”
