McIntosh takes over Case CE distribution

McIntosh Group has secured a major acquisition, becoming the national distributor of Case Construction Equipment.

The Perth-based company has taken over from Melbourne-based Case Vic, which has also been acquired and will become part of the McIntosh and Son dealership group.

McIntosh Group will form a third division of its business – McIntosh CE – to handle every aspect of its Case distribution, which will complement the existing McIntosh and Son and McIntosh Distribution divisions.

McIntosh Group’s existing distribution business, McIntosh Distribution, currently operates a model supporting both McIntosh-owned dealerships, alongside an independent dealer network of more than 120.

The newly-formed McIntosh CE plans to manage the Case CE distribution through a similar model.

McIntosh Group CEO David Capper believes the acquisition will benefit the brand and dealer network and says the Case Vic brand will remain.

“As distributor, McIntosh CE’s primary aim is to demonstrate our commitment to the Case CE product line and the existing dealership network, and the role they both play in the success of Case CE customers,” he says.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring Case Vic into our network as we recognise Case Vic as a high-performing business, with full credit to Vince King and the team.”

The Case CE distribution rights, along with Case Vic, were previously managed by CNH Industrial.

That company’s managing director for agriculture in Australia and New Zealand, Brandon Stannett, believes this change will benefit everyone involved.

“As one of our largest dealer groups, and as the distributor of our Miller brand, McIntosh Group is uniquely positioned to take the Case CE distribution rights and hit the ground running,” he says.

“CNHi is now able to reallocate our resources to ensure we can continue our strength in manufacturing and engineering market-leading agricultural and construction products.”

Case CE’s range of equipment includes compactors, dozers, loaders, excavators and graders.
