Trackunit Telematics opens offices in Sydney

Trackunit has opened new offices in Sydney as part of a larger strategic expansion into the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region.

Trackunit telematics comes to australia

The global leader in software-led telematics solutions for off-highway vehicles and construction equipment opened the new offices down under to better serve its current and new customers in the Australian market.

The organisation will also open offices in Tokyo, a new APJ headquarters in Singapore and have appointed Sigapore-based Chi Sen Gay to head up the APJ team.

Trackunit’s physical expansion into Australia will be outlined by a country-specific strategy underpinned by the company’s customer-led philosophy.

Trackunit chief executive, Soren Brogaard, says the move will help increase the efficiency of the customer-business relations in the region.

“We have a growing installed customer base in the region and it’s important that Trackunit puts feet on the ground to help them realise the efficiency, productivity and profitability benefits which digital transformation means for their businesses.”

A driving force in the digitisation of the construction industry, Trackunit has developed into the world’s leading ‘Software as a Service (Saas) based internet of things solution and machine insights provider in the global construction equipment industry.’

The software empowers customers by collecting machine-driven data to deliver proactive and actionable information in real-time with data-driven foresight. Such information available to users of their telematics software, hardware and fleet management services include operator safety, machine health and business optimisation.

Trackunit says by deploying more staff in Australia, it will help increase overall efficiency while also eliminating downtime, a major factor slowing productivity in the construction sector.

The company also says their move into the wider APJ market ‘is not only to recover from budget and schedule overruns, but also to re-establish the reputation of the industry for innovation and leadership’.

The new frontier for Trakunit is the latest in an ever-growing global presence for the organisation who also service its customer base from its headquarters in Denmark, Chicago and through other offices in Sweden, Norway, France, Holland, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Chi Sen Gay was excited to lead Trackunit’s growth in the APJ region.

“I’m excited and energized by this new role at Trackunit in this strategically important and growing region.

“I look forward to leading the Trackunit team as we support construction through its own digital transformation, changing the way equipment and machines are operated and maintained and helping to eliminate downtime.”
