Terex Washing System appoints Australian sales manager

Dedicated to direct sales in Eastern and South Australia, the new appointment signals a new direction for the company

Materials processing machinery manufacturer Terex Washing Systems has appointed a new sales manager focused on the Eastern and South Australian markets.

Based in Brisbane and with eight years in the minerals processing industry, Ben Willcox has been appointed to take a direct selling approach, which the company first launched in its home nation of Ireland in 2017.

Terex says the direct selling approach put its engineers and technical experts in closer contact with its customers, letting its staff help customers develop solutions, carry out installations and provide aftersales support.

Terex business line director Barry McMenamin says the change will mean Terex can offer the same level of customer care in Eastern and South Australia as it does in Ireland.

“Establishing partnerships with customers and working closely with them during product development initiatives is a key aspect of our strategy,” he says.

“With very strong growth in other regions we want to create an environment where we can continue that level of growth here as well”.

Willcox will work alongside Terex Washing Systems dealers in New Zealand and Western Australia, the company adds, as part of a new focus on the local market.

“We are extremely pleased to appoint Ben to this strategic role—his proven track record in this region shows that he’s ideally suited to implement our growth strategy in such an important territory,” McMenamin says.
