A free training seminar presented by International Greenkeepers is being held for local council and sports field professionals on Thursday April 7, 2022, at the Sydney Dragway, Ferrers Road, Eastern Creek.

The seminar features an impressive line-up of some of Australia’s leading turf care and construction professionals. The program will focus on the latest advances and global best practice in turf maintenance, weed and disease control, construction and drainage for playing fields, sporting venues and public spaces. Among the speakers are the following:

Steve Jacobson, who has previously been a golf course greenkeeper and superintendent, will present a session on the latest technology for solving slope and grounds maintenance problems.

Ben Gibson will present on the topic ‘Building a great safety culture through effective leadership’. Gibson appears on industry podcasts and national Turf Association magazines and as a speaker at turf industry events in Australia, Asia, New Zealand and the US.

Stephen Foster and James Evins of John Deere will speak on advances in smart technology and business lessons from the age of coronavirus.

Matt Goodbun and Michael Parsons will present on advances in top dressing and line marking.

Other program presenters include Bob Paddison from Turf Drain Australia, Weed Technics, Repco and International Greenkeepers. Jason Hodges of Lawn Solutions Australia will facilitate the seminar program.

The free seminar opens with breakfast at 7.30am, with a barbecue lunch at 12.30pm, followed by a hosted tour of selected exhibitors at the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo.
