Nishio T&M will distribute Jacon equipment in Japan under the new distribution agreement

Australian concrete pumping and spraying company Jacon Equipment has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Nishio T&M Co which will see the latter sell and service its equipment in the Japanese market.
The agreement represents the first time Jacon will sell its products in Japan, adding to distribution deals that currently exist in Vietnam, North and South America, China and Southeast Asia.
Nishio T&M, established in 1983, specialises in the lease, rental, sales, service and repair of tunnelling and mining equipment, as well as construction equipment rental and labour hire services.
The agreement with Nishio T&M is the latest to be signed by Jacon parent company the Maas Group, with Maas chief executive Wes Maas saying he hopes the deal will give Jacon vital exposure in Japan’s mining and tunnelling sector.
“Nishio T&M already offers a significant line of specialist tunnelling and mining products and services to the Japanese market. The addition of Jacon’s line of products will be highly complementary to Nishio’s offerings,” Maas says.
“Nishio T&M has established a reputation throughout Japan for the quality of its products, and the level of service and support it offers to customers.
“Many of the services offered by Nishio in its market area align closely with the range of services and products offered through Jacon and Maas, so our two organisations make an excellent fit,” he says.
“This agreement is also a reflection of the respect and recognition of Jacon’s products and support structure in this important international market.
“We are honoured to be partnering with Nishio T&M in Japan and believe this relationship will be strong well into the future,” Maas adds.
Hidekazu Nishio, Nishio T&M president, says the company is looking forward to partnering with Jacon as it aims for an 80 per cent share of Japan’s shotcreting and specialist tunnelling equipment rental market.
“Jacon’s range of innovative, safe, high technology and high-quality shotcrete machines, concrete mixer trucks and other machines, will have strong appeal with our customers throughout Japan,” he says.
“I am sure these machines will be useful for all our clients, including several contractors and subcontractors who are doing tunnel construction projects in Japan.”
