The PC33E-6 electric mini excavator from Komatsu is now available in Europe
Komatsu Europe has released the PC33E-6 a new 3-ton (2.7-tonne) electric mini excavator equipped with a 35kWh lithium-ion battery that can be fast-charged during a lunch break.
Described by Komatsu as being its flagship electric mini excavator, the cab comes with a new air suspended seat and 3.5-inch LCD monitor.
Komatsu says that the market introduction of this new electric model is a springboard for the development of a market for small electric construction and part of Komatsu’s global initiative to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
“The PC33E-6 features large capacity batteries and a highly efficient powerline, enabling most customers to work non-stop for a full shift before having to recharge,” Komatsu Group Manager Utility Emanuele Viel.
“Thanks to a lightning-fast charging system, downtime is significantly reduced, allowing for increased productivity and efficiency on the job site.”
In Australia, Komatsu recently announced the release of its PC490LCi-11 50-tonne excavator.
