Komatsu teases new GD955-7R mining grader

The first two units of the new model have been announced on Komatsu’s socials, with plans to ship them to Australia in the coming months

Komatsu has announced that the first two units of its brand new mining grader – the GD955-7R – have been built at its Ibaraki Plant in Japan and are now being prepared for shipment to Australia later in the year.

These 47-tonne graders will have 426 gross horsepower (318kW) and blade options of either 18ft (5.49m) or 20ft (6.1m).

As yet that is all of the information released about the new model – hopefully it won’t be too long before we get to welcome them Down Under!

UPDATE: The GD955-7 has now arrived in Mackay
