Crushing equipment manufacturer McCloskey International has launched its new V80 vertical shaft impactor (VSI) into the North American market late last month, which the company says is designed to be one of the most efficient on the market.
The product made its debut at the World of Asphalt show in San Antonio, Texas held from March 19-21.
According to the company, the new impactor is programmed to produce high specification sealing aggregates, high proportion of fines required for road bases, or manufactured sand.
McCloskey says the V80 features a host of user-friendly features and reflects the company’s commitment to reliable and durable equipment.
The machine carries a CEMCO Turbo T-80 VSI crusher and a powerful 430 HP C13 CAT engine. The sturdy I-beam plate fabricated chassis construction allows for heavy duty applications while the Hardox hopper sides add to the durability and strength of the impactor.
The V80 also offers a number of internal rotor/rockbox/anvil configurations that are suited for all applications.
The feed rate is controlled via control panel, remote control or fully automatic regulation via feedback from the VSI. The main conveyor has a large stockpile capacity due to the extended 42 inch conveyor and the large access between crusher discharge and the main conveyor feedboot.
The machine also features an integrated hopper with folding rear door.
McCloskey adds the machine, like other McCloskey equipment, is easy to maintain. The control-panel is user-friendly and has machine diagnostics that can drastically reduce downtime for maintenance. The easy-to-open chassis design and the hydraulic raise/lower lid on the crushing chamber adds to ease of maintenance.
The company says the V80 is more fuel efficient as well due to its integrated and “highly efficient” hydraulics. It also has a fast setup time due to its folding hoppers and conveyors.
Ease of transportation is another factor the V80 boasts, featuring a transport dimension of 16.02m long, 2.9m wide and 3.4m high, weighing in at 39,000kg.
Additional options such as a roll-in bogie system, main conveyor variable speed control, Interlock systems, hopper extensions, and a metal detector to protect the VSI are available.
McCloskey’s Australian distributor 888 Crushing and Screening Equipment says the new V80 vertical shaft impactor will be made available in the country soon.
