NAWIC Bright Ideas grant submissions open

NAWIC is offering grants for businesses and individuals who have ideas of how to better support women in construction

Sometimes a bright idea just needs a bit of help to come to fruition and generate significant positive outcomes for women in construction.

Applications are Now Open for the 2026 funding round of the NAWIC Bright Ideas Grants with funding available in two categories:

  • Bright Ideas Individual Grant – $30,000
  • Bright Ideas Business Grant – $20,000

Individual Grant

$30,000 seed funding will be awarded to support a woman, group or partnership to launch a new business venture, program or idea related to the construction industry.

The 2025 recipient, Polly Britten, used the grant to set up LinkUp Careers – a national platform that links industry, education and not for profits to help students and those looking to change career access knowledge and opportunities within construction, manufacturing, energy and other industries.

Business Grant

A $20,000 seed funding grant will be provided to support a business with initiatives aimed at retaining and advancing women in construction. This funding is intended to fuel the launch of new programs, initiatives or ideas aligned with creating an equitable construction industry.

The 2025 recipient, Amarapave, used the grant to set up Paving Pathways – a program designed to provide paid experience for underrepresented demographics to help them enter the asphalt industry. For more information on Amarapave’s work, read our article here.

There’s no better moment than now to champion positive transformation within your business by advocating for gender diversity. By establishing pathways for the advancement of women and nurturing a supportive workplace culture, you can contribute to a more inclusive construction industry.

Application Round Open from: Monday 13th October 2025 – Friday 7th November 2025 (11.59pm AEDT)
