New McCloskey jaw crusher heading to Australia

McCloskey has expanded its crusher range with the addition of the J6 jaw crusher – designed for high-capacity mining work.

New mining capacity jaw crusher is heading to Australia

The J6 unit is built around the push button hydraulic wedge adjusted bolted jaw crusher, which boasts a large feed opening of 1,200mm x 864mm.

The large jaw size on the J6 means the crusher can handle most mine feed materials including iron, nickel, lithium, and gold ores; and can be fed using large excavators and front-end loaders.

Its high production capacity and reliability make it ideal for mining companies, quarry operators and larger crushing contractors who can make the best use of it, says McCloskey’s Australian distributor 888 Crushing & Screening Equipment.

“It is suitable for use in traditional granite, basalt, diorite, limestone, and other high grade mined, quarried or recycled materials,” it adds.

The J6 weighs in at around 75,000kg and is powered by a Cat C13 engine.

Whilst in operation, the J6 features a live pre-screen for high efficiency scalping prior to material entering the jaw crusher in a bid to improve efficiency.

These scalps and fines can either be sent forward to the main conveyor or removed by an onboard hydraulic folding side and scalps conveyor.

Blockages can also be removed using the reversible jaw function – a feature 888 Crushing & Screening Equipment says greatly increases operator safety.

The distributor also says the simple design features allow for quick set-up and easy servicing using simple hydraulic set-up controls and powerful hydraulic jacking legs.

The J6 jaw crusher is controlled via radio and umbilical tracking remote and a push button to alter crusher settings.

Other features of the J6 include a system of pump and sprays which supress dust around the machine.
