Robbie Budd has been involved in the mining game for more than 40 years and now runs Budd Exploration Drilling out of the western NSW town.
He’s lived through mining booms and recessions and knows a thing or two about what’s needed to stay in business in the highly competitive drilling industry.
“If you can’t get the right men with both the mental and physical toughness to survive the elements and shift work, your operation is pretty-well buggered from the start,” Robbie says.
“There’s no room for sooks out here, mate.”
