Ideagen has continued its expansion with the acquisition of Australian safety tech business Plant Assessor
Australian machinery risk assessment company Plant Assessor has announced that it is joining the Ideagen group, making it the fourth Australian business bought by Ideagen over the past year.
“Joining Ideagen represents a fantastic opportunity for both our team and our clients,” Plant Assessor CEO Paul Dean.
“We are confident that this acquisition will allow us to deliver even better products and services to our existing customers while expanding the reach of our innovative solutions through Ideagen’s global network.”
Ideagen CEO Ben Dorks adds: “Plant Assessor’s software brings an enhanced level of safety to any person working on or around large plant machinery.
“Adding Plant Assessor into the Ideagen suite of solutions strengthens our EHS product portfolio, enabling us to provide advanced capabilities to our customers, particularly those involved in industries where heavy machinery is commonplace.
“We’re looking forward to helping grow its reach across our global network.”
According to government agency Safe Work Australia, machinery operators and drivers are more likely than any other to lose their lives in the workplace. In 2022 ‘mobile plant and transport’ was the most common cause of fatal injury with ‘machinery and fixed plant’ the third, reinforcing the need for adoption of advanced safety measures.
Established in 2004, Plant Assessor has developed software that it says helps businesses manage plant and equipment safety and compliance.
The software is designed to streamline and simplify the process of monitoring and managing plant and equipment safety. At its core, the software is a comprehensive digital platform that provides a detailed risk assessment for each piece of machinery, highlighting any potential hazards and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
The software also facilitates the management of necessary documentation, such as maintenance records and safety certifications.
