Porter Equipment is now importing a range of NC Engineering dumpers to Australia, and was displaying two models — the SW6 and SW9 — at last weekend’s Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo in Penrith, New South Wales.
NC Engineering is based in Richhill, a village in Northern Ireland’s County Armagh, and the dumpers sport a proud ‘Manufactured in the UK’ sticker.
The two models on show featured power swivel skids enabling discharge either side — hence the ‘SW’ moniker. The straight-tip models are designated ST.
The NC SW6 has a 6-tonne payload, while the SW9 ups this to 9 tonnes.
NC says both models feature permanent four-wheel drive, enhanced operator accessibility and comfort, heavy-duty construction — the skip is made of 8mm steel plate — folding ROPS as standard and column-operated forward and reverse directions with acceleration by foot pedal.
The skips can swivel over 180 degrees for easy placement, and tip over 90 degrees.
Both models are driven by a Deutz TCD 3.6 engine, with 74 horsepower (55.4kW) being delivered to the SW6 and 121hp (90kW) to the SW9.
