Hyundai Construction Equipment has expanded its Dash 9 family with the launch of an 80-tonne crawler excavator model, the R800-9.
The successor to its Dash 7A cousin, the R800-7A, the R800-9 has undergone a transformation which includes a number of structural, technological, cabin and safety upgrades.
According to Hyundai, one such upgrade includes a newly patented hydraulic control system which delivers greater slew speed and increased hydraulic power.
Greater optimisation of the hydraulic system allows operators of the R800-9 to configure custom boom and swing priority settings through an easy-to-use in-cab 7-inch digital display control cluster.
A technology exclusive to the Hyundai’s Dash 9 series, the digital display control cluster acts as the machines nerve centre and provides a range of settings to customise the performance of the R800-9 to best suit the operating environment and job requirements. Diagnostics, safety system control, service tracking and machine reports can all be accessed and controlled through this interface.
Including Hyundai’s remote monitoring and reporting platform ‘Hi-mate’, Hyundai says the R800-9 boasts an impressive full-bodied standard specification with no hidden add-ons or extras.
