Loadrite’s new X2650 weighing system provides bucket-by-bucket payload information to optimise the load-out of haul trucks.

According to Loadrite, scales are present in haul trucks to provide measurements of payload but accuracy is only within five per cent while Loadrite’s new X2650 scale is capable of providing measurements accurate to within three per cent.

Loadrite Asia Pacific Regional Manager Bruce Warner says reaching optimum payload weight everytime is crucial for mining operations and Loadrite’s products can assist operators achieve that.

“The value proposition behind the product is optimising the load on the haul truck to ensure that you’re not carrying empty air,” he says.

“On the other hand, if you put too much material into the haul truck, you’re likely to wear your tyres out sooner, cause mechanical problems in the machines and its gets expensive very quickly.”

“So it’s an efficiency gain on the haul truck, as well as the ability to make sure that you don’t have to dump load off.”

The system is currently only available in Australia. However, Warner says once the system performs to expectations, Loadrite will introduce it in North and South America as well as Europe.
