According to Redstar Equipment, the new Australian designed Sumo Jumbo electrical distribution board is designed to provide mine spec electrical distribution capability in a compact, lightweight design.
The board can be run from main s or generator power and can be cascaded or daisy-chained together if required. The board includes both three phase and single phase outlets, all individually RCD and MCB protected with a main isolating switch for overall protection.
On top of the new board, Redstar Equipment showcased a range of its generators at this year’s mining show, which ran from August 20-23, 2013.
“Although we have a small stand here, we have a wide range of products that we sell on display,” says Redstar Equipment General Manager Kevin Ennis.
“We want to be here and make sure that we’re in the face of our clients.”
Ennis also reveals the company recently acquired the Chicago Pneumatic brand’s distributorship in Australia, which is exciting news for the company.
Chicago Pneumatic is a global industrial manufacturer of power tools, air compressors, generators, light towers and hydraulic equipment.
“That’s really going to kick us along quite well in the mining industry, particularly with the great quality of the machines and their reasonable price range,” Ennis says.
