2014 WA construction safety guide released

Health and safety information publisher Pro-Visual Publishing has released its latest construction safety guide for the state of Western Australia.

WA Construction Safety Chart 2014

The guide was published with help from the Master Builders Association of Western Australia and outlines current safety issues and guidelines for managing risks associated with the construction industry.

A prominent topic of this years’ guide is scaffolding safety.

Pro-Visual says scaffoldings can pose various hazards to workers at all stages, including its erection, use, maintenance, alteration and dismantling.

Hence, awareness of ways to assess and maintain risks involved in the utilisation of scaffolding is essential to all workers on site.

Other topics discussed in the guide relates to the health and wellbeing of workers, such as hydration, drugs and alcohol.

The guides are published annually and differ from state to state in line with different state laws and practices.

The wall-mounted info sheets are  distributed free of charge to all construction companies in WA.
